Journal entry by Katie Cassidy —
Jeff is doing so great! He's been enjoying his summer and within the last week, went back to work. Although Jeff's program is modified to fit his needs, including having 1:1 care, he is still able to meet up with friends throughout the day. Jeff still needs to be supervised during meals, although he is back to eating normally, and enjoying chocolate chip cookies from Grammie!
Jeff was able to have some friends over, and go on the boat, which they all loved! Teddy and Andrew always know how to make Jeff laugh, as evidenced by the below picture!
Jeff's favorite time of year is almost here. He's counting down the days until Halloween, Thanksgiving, his birthday and Christmas.
We couldn't be happier with the progress Jeff has made, and we truly thank everyone for keeping him in thoughts and prayers during such a horrific time.
The very initial post that explained what happened was written by me, Katie, although almost every post thereafter was written by my dad. People have commented to me that they were thankful for the updates, and how well they were written, and I just wanted to share that those came from my parents. Kristen, Jeff and I are so lucky to have the parents we have, and we are so proud with how strong they were throughout this entire ordeal.
Again, thank you all for the love and support over the past 5 months!
