On Monday 7/31 we experienced nothing short of a miracle when Joe’s life was spared after being shot during an attempted carjacking. Yes, shot! Joe and a few buddies were awaiting friends at a nice Minneapolis park when approached by 5 juveniles who tried to rob them. They stole Joe’s phone & wallet. Joe escaped their grips as one of the masked cowards shot him from behind. The bullet entered his lower left back then exited his abdomen. Unarmed Joe fell to the ground where he was then pistol whipped. Thankfully, his heroic buddies swiftly called 911. Joe removed his shirt and applied pressure. He was rushed via ambulance to HCMC where they expedited CT, X-ray & ultrasound. Gratefully, organs & bones were unscathed. Highest of kudos to the stellar trauma team. Everyone marveled at the truly fortunate location of the injury.

The case is under investigation with bad guys on the loose. Joe & good guys are alive and healing (both mentally and physically). Thanks be to God - with the assist from BOWERPOWER Jeff.
