Welcome to my Caring Bridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. I truly appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. 


Here is my story:
Several weeks ago I was diagnosed with MDS,  Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a rare blood disease in the bone marrow that destroys red and white blood cells as well as platelets. I am in the “very high risk group”. The symptoms started showing up late last year. A blood test and subsequent bone marrow biopsy revealed the culprit - Cancer. 
In the next few weeks, I will undergo chemotherapy followed by tranfusions and a bone marrow transplant. The prognosis is bleak.  That said, I'm a strong believer of faith in Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. I also believe in the miraculous power of prayer. Please pray for me, my wife and my family.  Miracles do happen.  Thank you for your love and support.

This morning around 8:15 am, Jeff passed to be with our Lord.  He fought as long as he could but his poor body wouldn't cooperate.  He was a caring, loving husband, a wonderful father and a proud PopPop.  Please remember his smiles, jokes and thougtfulness. I don't think my own heart can survive this despair.  Thank you all for your support and continued love.
