Blessings to you all! 

I know we have been absent from sharing with you but every time I tried to write, the tears flowed and I couldn’t find the words. We have been struggling with grief, anger, confusion, and exhaustion. But God is good and has brought joy to us even in our pain. Joy comes everyday from precious children’s hugs, loving glances and smiles, laughter, and “I love you’s!”

“Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” I’ve heard that phrase many times but today it has new meaning as we begin our new journey. Where this journey takes us, I really don’t know. I do know that God will guide us and be ever present in our lives; providing comfort and strength and I am praising Him for the many blessings He has placed in our lives. 

*My husband - so strong through it all, writing and sharing Amee’s eulogy, making breakfast every morning, packing lunches, driving kids to school; all while working through all the legal  things that have to be done

*My daughter - my rock, always thinking of the kids, planning for the future; all while working and caring for her own family

*My son-in-law - helping with all the kids, always ready to go and do whatever needs to be done

*Brother and family - Always here….. providing love, meals, help with the kids….ready to do anything at a moments notice

*Church family - providing love, prayers, meals, and support in so many ways

*Friends - reaching out daily with words of encouragement, listening to me as I cry over the phone, sending me prayers, devotionals, food and surprises for the kids

*Neighbors - bringing carefully thought out gift bags for the kids with crafty things to make and gift cards for us all and offering anything we might need to help with the kids

*Huntersville/Charlotte Fire Department and the community of Huntersville - providing tremendous support in so many ways I can’t even begin to list them

So even in our pain we find JOY and for that I give thanks and praise to God, our Lord and Savior! 

We will continue to keep you updated on our new journey!
