Journal entry by Sherry Adsit —
Day 5/6 St. Mary’s Hospital. I guess yesterday was my “crash day”. I was even too tired to record my daily post. But no crash for Jeff! By the time I got to the hospital, he was up, washed up, ate breakfast, took his first walk of the day, and had his final tube removed.
Much to my surprise, we are going home today. My feeling is that it’s a little too soon, but he’s so anxious and the doctor said he could leave, so home is where we will be by the end of the day.
I must admit that I’m a little panicked. Doctor appointments, physical therapy, lots and lots of new meds, so much to keep track of! But we will do what we have to do, and I’m sure it will all be fine!
So I am happy to report that this will be my final post. Thanks again to so many wonderful people for your love and support.
To our local friends and family, please give us some time and space to get organized and into a routine before you come to visit.
Hugs to you all - over and out!!! Sherry and Jeff 😍
