Jeannie’s Story

Site created on February 15, 2022

Welcome to Jeannie's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers and words of hope and encouragement. Our desire is to share the story of what God is doing in our lives as we move forward in this unexpected journey.

In January of 2022, after struggling with digestive issues for many years, Jeannie had an Endoscopic Ultrasound for a dilated pancreatic duct discovered in 2021. We fully expected this to be nothing serious, but rather just another piece in the ongoing puzzle. We were instead referred to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and within a week had received a diagnosis of Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. Needless to say, we were a bit stunned.  But there is also a definite sense of God preparing us for this season.

We are just beginning this journey, but already we have seen - in so many ways - God's faithfulness and His hand of love in our lives. Our heart's desire is to give God the glory in this and while we pray and seek for healing, we are trusting Him each step of the way. We are grateful for all of you that have already been walking with us and supporting us through prayers, encouragement and kindness . With all our hearts we (Pat, Jeannie & Kaleb) thank you.

"I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope." Psalm 130:5 (NASB)
