Journal entry by Bridget MacNevin-Pfeiffer —
A quick update on how Jeannie’s tolerated this first week after chemo…. really pretty well! Thank goodness. Jeannie is still worn out but she gains incredible strength and hope from visits with friends and family. If you know Jeannie, you know that work has been her life since she was a young teenager. (Big Burger, anyone?) I can’t remember a time when Jeannie was not working. Being away from people and not being busy is hard for her. She misses friends, family and the North Kansas City Hospital coworkers who are like family. If you want to get out and see the leaves, take a short walk, or grab a quick meal out, Jeannie would love it! Positive distractions are just what she needs before the next round of chemo.
Thank you to everyone who has called, commented, stopped by, brought a meal or contributed to the GoFundMe. Your generosity is so appreciated! (See the ways to help tab for more info.)
A quick note from niece Bridget: Remember… CaringBridge is a free site. They may try to “hit you up” for a tribute donation but none are needed to “keep the site going”. If you’d like to contribute to Jeannie, please use the GoFundMe link.
Patients and caregivers love hearing from you; add a comment to show your support.
Help Jeannie Stay Connected to Family and Friends
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Jeannie's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
