Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. 

For those of you who dont know it has been a whirlwind summer for me and my family.   In the beginning of May,  I was diagnosed with  sarcomatoid transitional  renal cell carcinoma. This is a rare cancer of the kidney/bladder where only around 25 cases have been reported.   On July 7th, I had surgery to remove my right kidney and ureter at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. After three weeks we went back to Mayo Clinic for my post operative tests, went out to eat, ordered a margartia (which I never got to have), and got a call from Mayo that I needed to go to the ER immediately as  there was a blood clot in my right lung.  At that time a CT scan showed the cancer had gone through my blood stream and set up camp all over my abdomen.  I then consulted with Mayo CLinic and Monument Health and have begun chemotherapy with Monument Health where they believe it may not be cured, but will maintain a quaility of life. 

I ask all that are reading this to please keep me in your prayers because that is the only thing we can control! My daughter and I will be trying to update with any significant news, other than that, no news is good news!

Please join us in celebrating and honoring our amazing mom regarding funeral services:

A public Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, September 8th at 6:00pm
The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 9th at 10:00am 

All services will be held at Saint Therese, the Little Flower Catholic Church, 532 Adams Street, Rapid City, SD 

If you wish to send flowers please send them directly to Saint Therese. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to  St. James Catholic Church,  310 3rd Ave, Edgemont, SD 57735.
