Journal entry by Keith Holloman —
Jan 19 Jan and I tested positive for COVID, my symptoms had started a few days earlier and were mild, cough, congestion, low grade fever, Jan were more moderate in nature and out of concern I took here down to the emergency department at Fairview University Hospital. They did and assessment and released her. She was eligible for monoclonal antibody infusion (Monoclonal antibodies are among the most promising treatments for mild to moderate COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. Monoclonal antibodies are just like your body's antibodies but selected for their strong ability to resist the virus. They are produced like a medication and help your body fight illness.) Jan started to feel better 24 hours after the treatment and has continued to improve. She was back to work in a few days and making progress. No respiratory issues at all which is indicative of how the Omnicron variate behaves.
The mental strain was worse for me as I was having flashbacks of her in the hospital and for a couple of days I was terrified of what might happen.
Thankful for the outcome!
