I had my nine month scans and bloodwork on the 17th and oncologist visit on the 24th. My scans looked great. The radiologist noted stable postoperative changes of my pancreatectomy and splenectomy. Stable 5mm lesion on my liver. No evidence of metastatic disease. Hallelujah! My tumor marker remains at a 5 and has stayed the same since last August. My oncologist said we can now move my scans to every 6 months but he still wants to keep my bloodwork at every 3 months so we can catch any changes earlier. All great news!! We are closing in on a year since my last chemo treatment on June 1st.
I will be walking in the St Croix County Relay for Life on June 9th with my family and friends. Our team reached our fundraising goal so I am super happy about that! If you would like to donate or join my team click on the link https://secure.acsevents.org/site/STR?fr_id=104537&pg=personal&px=58765111 I would love for anyone to join us!
I have been working for a few months on my story. Adding in all the details of my diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and finally remission! I will be reading part of it at the walk during the survivor ceremony. I think it really helped in the healing process to get it all out. A dear friend always told me to start journaling and I highly recommend doing it.
Thank you for your continued prayers. It means the world to me.
