Jaxson’s first month of Long Term Maintenance has gone well! His energy is increasing, his color is good, his hair is growing back, and he is growing so fast!  Looking at him, I don’t feel like his appearance shows what he’s going through anymore - he just looks like a happy kid again.

This month, we had the opportunity to take our camper to Indian River for our only trip before baby is born. The boys had a BLAST being outside, riding their bikes, finally getting to play on a playground again, and going to the beach though it was cool and windy. It was amazing to have some “normalcy”, and I was thankful that the park was fairly empty.

Today, May 22, Jaxson had his first lab check since starting LTM. His counts were where his team wants them (hgb 11, plt 400, wbc 2.6, and anc 1620). While he is still immunocompromised and has increased risk with illness, the team has given us the green light to socialize as we feel comfortable. Still avoiding illness, but the boys can finally see their cousins and have playdates, and the hope is for preschool in August for Jaxson (though navigating illness will be interesting with that, to say the least…).

We are so thankful that things have continued to go well, by the grace of God, and for his provision!

Travis is healing well from his bicep tendon surgery, though still has lifting restrictions until the week that our baby is due.  Overall, I feel pretty good - though I get to be pretty uncomfortable by the end of the day (to be expected at all-but 34 weeks, I guess), and depending on how much the boys demanded from me physically greatly affects that…Braxton hicks have been very common this pregnancy. But, baby is growing on track and there have been no concerns or complications!

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support! The gallery will have a few pictures from the past month, since I can only add 5 to a journal update :)
