Jaxon’s Story

Site created on November 10, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting and feel free to comment.

Why write a blog?  Well, the original necessity was to simplify updating our family and friends about how Jaxon is doing and what is going on.  You can probably imagine it gets tiring repeating the same story multiple times on several different social platforms.  But.. Maybe someday we will appreciate having this blog to look back on and maybe it will also be helpful for someone else.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jay Landfair

Hi Everyone.  It has been a LONG time (almost a year) since I have posted anything here.  I assume everyone here follows Jaxon's website and/or Facebook page but maybe not.  So here is a small email update that went out today.

Jaxon's journey continues.  His legacy continues to touch lives and impact families.  Jaxon's "Three Things" have made their way onto the walls of the cafeteria at his High School and Basha High School has honored Jaxon with "Jaxon Week" each year with themed days related to things Jaxon liked.  They also hold fundraisers for Jaxon Foundation.  Each year we speak to the incoming freshmen class about Jaxon's Wish and Jaxon's Three Things.  We have awarded 12 scholarships in Jaxon's name and continue to support several students through all four years of their college careers.
Each year we host a Jaxon Foundation Golf Tournament and raise awareness and of course funds to continue fueling Jaxon's legacy.
There are pictures attached of recent scholarship recipients and the mural at Basha High School.

Jaxon's angel day is coming up this Saturday.  Our family will spend the day together doing things that we loved doing with Jaxon and also feeling his presence with us in memories and experiences that we had with him, and continue to add to that collection even though he is physically absent... We spend a lot of time laughing about things he said or did... We hear him in things that are said by people that knew him well.  We of course miss him more than ever.  But we find peace in celebrating him.
Patients and caregivers love hearing from you; add a comment to show your support.
