"No evidence of disease. The chemo did its job."

Jason and I went to the long awaited oncology appointment to confirm what we believed!   The cancer is GONE!

From dropping off Jason at the hospital after Memorial Day for "some fluids" to
not knowing what was wrong to
multi-organ failure and circling the drain in ICU for 14 days to
getting a diagnosed with PTLD and starting chemo to
every other day dialysis to
no evidence of disease today is A-MAZ-ING!

The super aggressive cancer responded perfectly to the chemotherapy and Jason's bone marrow biopsy and PET scan show no evidence of disease.  He is moving into the surveillance stage with oncology where he will be checked every 3 months.  Now that cancer is gone, Jason has to work closely with his nephrologist to help keep his transplanted kidney happy and healthy. Jason's priorities also are focused on diet to increase his weight and continue to build back his strength and stamina.  The doctor said that this takes time after all the trauma it experienced over the past 4 months.

Now, what do I say to the group of people that have done one the greatest jobs you are on earth for; to love, pray for, support, call, email, feed, hug, text, cry, check-in... WELL DONE my people, you did it, we did it, Jason did it!  Thanks and appreciation to you all-thank you thank you thank you. Keep being amazing, life-changing humans. Your actions- big, small, loud and silent have impacted our lives forever. #teamskol
