Jason ’s Story

Jason Painter Price was admitted to the ICU on Friday morning, 10/30/2020, after undergoing treatment for liver disease over the past several months. He spent the next two days on life support, with Blake by his side, and other family speaking to him through speaker phone. When Jason's soul left his body at 1:26 pm on November 1, 2020, a sense of peacefulness came into the room, and warm, bright, rays of sunlight shone in. Godspeed, JPP, your light, love, laughter and music, will be deeply missed.

Blake would like to use this as a site for family and friends to share their love and grief together. Please post your love, remembrances, photos and words of encouragement for the family here by posting a comment or "well wish" from the links above. Blake will also be sharing more messages and photos of Jason in the coming days. The family needs some time to decide about a memorial for JPP at a later date. They will share more about that and their own stories about Jason here, as they are able. Thank you for your love and support.

To celebrate my new website shop, over twenty artists are participating an art sale to help create a student scholarship in Sound Design in the Department of Theatre at Michigan State University in memory of Jason Painter Price. This scholarship will be awarded each year to students who excel in Sound Design at MSU. Included on the shop page is a link for you to hear to a selection of Jason's sound design compositions.
