Jason has finally moved home! Jason left Knute Nelson and was moved home on Thursday 2/1. He started a new medication to help boost his low hemoglobin and it has been working! He has not needed a blood transfusion since November. He has been building his strength with physical therapy and stood for 3 minutes on Thursday in a sit-to-stand lift! He still is unable to move his left side, but he is getting better at moving his left foot when he focuses on it. Now that he is home, Hilary will continue working along with caring for Jason. Family will be his primary caregivers moving forward and we are so thankful that we can make it possible for Jason to be at home. 

With the money raised from the benefit in June, we were able to purchase a van for Jason! We have been able to take Jason out for dinner, to visit family, and to his appointments. Being able to get Jason out and about has been so nice and has made him very happy. Along with the van, we are using the money to make alterations to our house to make it more accessible for Jason. We will continue to use the money for any medical expenses and supplies Jason needs. Our family can’t thank you all enough for your continuous support over the past (almost) 2 years. Jason is where he is today because of all of the people who love and support him. We are excited for this next step!
