Results are in…Jason and Brian are awesome!!!  The biopsy shows the engraftment at 97% in the bone marrow.  Yes this is different than the tests prior showing 100%.  Those were blood tests.  This is the most accurate and true picture of what’s happening where the cancer exists. Well, I should say existed!  Yes, you read that right!!

We can pretty much say he is cancer free at this point!!!!!  There are 0 blasts in the bone marrow which is what they use to determine the level of cancer or that it’s present.  

Again, excuse my lack of medical knowledge as I explain these things 😃

He will have clinic visits for labs for a while and meet with the doctor or someone via zoom so he won’t have to drive to Kansas City for appointments anymore!  Or not all the time like now.

Also, his hair is growing back and he has quite a nice mustache going 🤣 Feel free to give him a hard time for this!

There will be risks still so he has to wear his mask in public and avoid crowds.  He is back to a regular diet.  We have had dinner on a couple patios which is nice!!!  

This summer we have to keep him healthy and avoid any complications from gvhd as that is still a risk.  Sunscreen, avoiding being in the sun for long periods, staying away from crowds, sick people, etc.

All is amazing here!!  Couldn’t be more thankful for how well he is doing!
