We can’t believe it’s been three weeks since Janie’s MRI first revealed what was bothering her over the last 15 months.  We’ve come a long way and have received nothing but positive news since.  This morning we met with the Oncologist and received more positive news.  The tumor is benign but extremely rare for her age.  More testing and discovery to go but a relief nonetheless.  Janie’s plan in still unknown for now.  All we know is she’s back to herself and we’re so happy for her.  We finally feel like we can take a deep breath and sleep a little better.

Lakewood Elementary and many awesome moms and dads organized a “wear purple day” for Janie’s return to school.  It’s impossible for us to explain how meaningful that was to see the “Fierce Pierce” army of children supporting her.  It’s just another incredible example of the love this community has to offer.
