Journal entry by Joey McNamara —
Thank you for everyone's kind words, thoughts and prayers.
Background: Janice went in last Friday, March 14 for an angioplasty to alleviate what the doctors thought was a heart blockage. The procedure went as planned, and Janice was recovering at home.
Yesterday afternoon, she was admitted to the Baylor Scott & White Hospital with very low blood pressure, fluctuating glucose levels and heart rhythm irregularities. Janice was sedated last night while they work to balance her levels and make sure her oxygen levels stay the same.
As of last night, she is considered to be in stable but critical condition in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.
As of 12:00 p.m., the doctors have decided to pull back the medication and see if she can breathe on her own and find a medication balance that allows her to stablilize.
We will try to keep everyone posted as this unfolds. Thank you for everyone who has stopped by, we are in the the South Tower 2nd Floor waiting rooms
