Journal entry by Janice Pearce —
Greg and I got home on January 18-what a happy day! My doctors in Houston and Charleston are happy with my progress- my last two bone marrow biopsies in December and on January 30 (we made a quick trip back to Houston for tests and consultations) showed no sign of myelodysplastic syndrome which means the transplant was a success! I am now in the recuperative stage-LOTS of anti rejection meds and weekly blood work. We go back to Houston the end of April for another biopsy and other tests to be sure all is continuing to go well. I am still not going around crowds but am gradually seeing more people. I am trying to eat more and exercise daily but I still have a long way to go before I am back to normal.
I continue to feel your love and prayers. Janice
