Hi all - the last 3 days my mom hasn’t eaten and has only had minimal sips of water. Additionally, she is unable to keep down any pills. This afternoon, hospice nurses took her off routine medications and started her on comfort care where we are essentially syringing morphine and a few other helpful medications to make her comfortable into her mouth. While she seems to be sleeping most of the day lately, the nurses say she will continue to sleep more and more due to the continual sedation she will now be under. Anyone is welcome to come by if they would like, just send me a text message to coordinate a time. Many thanks for all of the support through this entire time ❌⭕️
