Update
Good morning. As I sit in my living room with my fire place on and my blanket over me, I am still trying to sort out all the events of last week. Little by little I hear more details to fill in the gaps. But my mind still has a hard time fully understanding.
So I take my time daily to process and work through all the things.
But I wanted to reach out to you and let you know how I am feeling.
I am surprisingly, feeling well.
Yes I have soreness from where the defibrillator was implanted under my skin and where the lead wire incision in my chest is. But honestly, from where I was last week...it’s good.
I don’t have much energy but do try to get out of the recliner often. Me and the recliner have become one! I’ve had a few visitors but for the most part I am laying very low this week. I get tired rather quickly understandably.
I have an appointment with my GP this Friday. She already had heard. We live in a small community, haha. And then Monday I have a heart monitor put on so they can monitor me for a bit to make sure all the things are doing what they need to do.
Next Friday, I meet with an associate of the doctor who did my surgery, just as a follow up.
So for now, I rely on the help of others and really not overdo. I tend to not just sit...but I will be good, I promise.
Thank you again for your continued prayers for myself and my family. We felt the prayers and the love so powerfully!
Please continue to lift us up during this recovery.
