This morning, with her family at her bedside, my soulmate and beautiful wife of 56 years passed from these earthly bonds and entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior.  I am a bit lost right now trying to cope with the reality of life without Janet so please bear with me as I write my thoughts to share with all of you who have so lovingly and graciously supported her and us in this struggle with cancer.  Janet lived a life truly modeled after Jesus.  Her thoughts, even up to her last days on this earth, were more focused on others than on herself.  I know she would want me to express her love and appreciation for each and everyone of you who wrote, called, prayed and served her and the family through Caringbridge, the beautiful cards and loving acts  of service.  Her family, friends, and especially the church were for her,  and all of us,  the presence of Christ.  We truly were surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who provided a shield of protection, compassion and peace around us in this dark night of the soul.   I ask on behalf of myself and of the family, for your prayers as we now continue the path that the Lord has for us after Janet.  God bless all of you with His Love, the Peace of Christ and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
