Journal entry by jane sweeney

Yesterday was kind of a long day. Work at Norwood Hospital then radiation at St Elizabeths ,then Friday afternoon traffic.  Got home at four pm ,  the power went out.   I went down to Imperial Terrace for a bite to eat. I ate a bit and asked for the bill and some stranger paid my tab!  It was Good Friday,
I was diagnosed on Ash Wednesday with stage 3 cancer of the esophagus.
I have had so many people inquire about my health and offers to help that I need to keep everyone informed about whats happening.  I'm having radiation everyday M-F  at St. Elisabeths, as well as chemo
every other Tuesday through Thursday.   I have a porta cath so my chemo comes home with me Tuesday
through Thurs.   So far Im able to drive and work ok.   My PET scan was negative, so its nowhere else.
Thanks to my cousin Anne and my two Janets for my 3 rides to the OR. Endoscopy, biopsy, portacath, and bronchosophy.   I'm working tomorrow Easter Sunday, and I'll update this journal
every other day. If I Need anything I will ask as I Know I have lots of support !
