The second move day has come and gone with success. The big day was Monday 2/4. She left Regions Hospital with staff members wishing her luck and success. She arrived at Courage Kenny in Golden Kenny with smiles and knowing (hopefully) 2 out of her 3 facilities are out of the way!
Jane is getting use to her new surroundings. With any move, it’s hard since there are new staff ratios, new programs, new regimens and new everything. But she’s taking it day be day and appreciates all the support she’s getting. She especially loves all the pictures and loving words she’s getting. Just today, a special bouquet of flowers was delivered to wish her an early happy birthday.
The keurig that was donated to Jane is getting plenty of use. When you can’t be at home in your comforting environment, having “normal” things like a fresh cup of coffee is such a blessing!
Jane also got a new set of wheels. They may not be a permanent set, but for at least while she’s at Courage Kenny, they will be hers. Modifications have been made to allow the joystick to be moved with a light sensation. She can definitely get around now!
