Journal entry by Rhonda Hoyer

What happened a year ago today will always stay in my mind.  The miracles and evidence of God’s presence is something I will never forget.  I have been blessed from day one for having an amazing sister-in-law that always puts everyone else first.  She is truly a blessing in everyone’s life that she comes into contact with.  She’s simply amazing! 😊

Jane is still working on strengthening her back and shoulders.  She’s going on walks (but not liking the cold and windy days!).  She is having some stomach pain yet – but isn’t sure what the root cause of it is as Covid has prevented her from going in to get it checked out.  It gets quite painful by evening.  The surgeon is having her try some home remedies for now.  She is also still suffering from some headaches.  Please keep Jane in your prayers that her body continues to heal and all of these are alleviated.  Having said all of this, knowing Jane, if you asked her how she's doing, I'm sure she quickly responded that she's doing well!

I asked her to do an update for you herself and include an inspiring Bible verse.  With all of the craziness that has gone on since last year at this time, she hasn’t been able to personally thank everyone as she has been trying to avoid getting sick.  Below are her words in appreciation for all of your thoughts and prayers over the last year.  Our entire family truly appreciates each one.

From Jane:

I am truly Blessed with my Family and Friends.  I can not write this without tears…

One year ago today I was in a farm accident.  I’ve been told I’m a miracle by surgeons, nurses, family and friends.

I am truly Blessed and Grateful – for your many prayers (for myself, my family, the surgeons, nurses and therapists), your encouraging words, kindness, and generosity of your time and providing meals.  All of these have helped me along this “journey”, and I have come so far, thanks to you all.

The Lord heard and answered your prayers.  I know God has given me another chance.  I now need to work, not only on physical strength, but on strengthening my heart with God, Family and Friends...these are what’s most important in this life.

Truly Blessed and Grateful!  Thank you all!  Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Proverbs 3:5  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
