Every day is a good day, but today is GREAT!! Yesterday we spent all day meeting with several different Dr.s at the Mayo in Rochester. Jamie performed several strength tests in order to try to get into the stem cell therapy trial. To give you a glimpse, they choose one person per 60 days. With all trials, there is a chance of getting the placebo. But NOT with one.. EVERY single person with ALS receives the treatment. This morning we got the call... He passed with flying colors!!! So now we are excited for our next steps!! On March 12th the Dr's will make a small inscision on Jamie's belly and remove some fat. From that they will spin out his stem cells and place into peachtree dishes. They will then multiply them by the millions and re inject them thru his spinal cord. This will take place every 3 months for a year. The goal is that the healthy cells will kick the ass of the cells that are ruining his neurons. Thank you again for all your support, we really, truly appreciate everything. As for today, and everyday, we look for Joy in everyday! We are living every day to the fullest!!
