Journal entry by Marsha Jordan

Good afternoon everyone,

I just wanted you to know that Jamie had his homecoming this morning at 6:00 am.

He developed pneumonia and started losing oxygen pretty fast. Breathing became a real struggle the past few days. He was put on comfort care at the hospital last night and he slept peacefully and went to be with the Lord in his sleep. Micah and I were able to get in to see him last night and they allowed me to spend the night with him at the hospital. His covid test came back negative about 11:00 last night - so that was a blessing. I was dreading the thought of going into self quarantine for a few weeks.

The doctors and nurses that worked with Jamie were amazing. They are under so much pressure right now with covid-19 and they continue to care and love on the patients in such an amazing way. I am so thankful to all of them for having so much compassion and treating us with so much care.

I am so thankful to God that he is with Jesus now and he is whole and out of pain and discomfort. With Easter coming this weekend, I can celebrate because Jesus conquered sin and death so we could live forever with him. Jesus made it possible for us to be reconciled to God by shedding His blood on the cross for all of our sins. He rescued us from death. The very best news that we have as believers is His resurrection. He rose from the grave. And because He rose from the grave, we too will one day have a resurrected body. He will make all things new. That is my hope.

Jamie is safe, secure and whole in Jesus' arms. I am at peace with that assurance.

Death Where Is Your Sting
For God so loved the world
He gave his son
To bear the weight of sin
He bled for us
From heaven's highest place
He took a fall
And there was just one life
Laid down for all
Death, where is your sting?
Grave, where is your victory?
He's alive, He's alive
He's risen
Behold the vacant tomb
That held our Lord
That grave became the stage
For Heaven's glory
And behold the risen King
In open skies
He is the Resurrection
He is the life
Death, where is your sting?
Grave, where is your victory?
He's alive, He's alive
He's risen
No weapon formed against us will prosper
The gates of hell won't stand
Your church will rise from glory to glory
In the name of Jesus
No weapon formed against…

Love all of you and thankful for all of your love, care and support,

Marsha
