Journal entry by Jennifer Godbold —
After two weeks in intensive care, one week in acute care, surgeries, xrays, set backs and phenomenal progress Jamie has been discharged from the hospital! She made the short journey home on Saturday and said the fresh beach air has never smelled so sweet.
But the journey continues and the physical and occupational therapies will remain in place at home. Along with breathing exercises and strength building that she will work on throughout the day. Currently the main goal is keeping her comfortable and happy so that her body can continue to heal itself.
There is a strict schedule for round the clock care so she is not ready for visits just yet. But keep the positive vibes coming and send her some mail. She's bored and would love to hear from you!! Jamin" Jamie 307 Hamlet Ave Carolina Beach, NC 28428
