25 days of hospitalization,  26 Dr. Appt,  11 heart biopsies, 1 kidney biopsy, 2 Covid tests, 8 days of separation (during hospital stay in early Dec. and Sara couldn't go in), too many blood draws to count, 21 walks to Lake Michigan, 2 drive bys of Wrigley Field, 5 drive bys of the Home Alone house,  2 Giordano pizzas, 7 seasons of The Great British Baking Show,  and countless hours staring at each other and most importantly 1 AMAZING HEART TRANSPLANT!!!  All in 114 days!!  And today we are headed home to stay!!! 

We are so excited to once again start a new normal! And once again we cannot thank everyone enough for helping us through this journey! Absolutely everything you have all done for us is appreciated beyond measure!  

James is doing great and is ready to start the process of gaining his physical strength back! So if you see him walking give him a shout out of encouragement! (Fully masked of course!) Monthly trips to Chicago will happen for awhile as well.
