Hi all - thanks so much for checking in. We went to James first follow up with the dr at ecmc yesterday and she said his arms look great ! He only has one small area near his right elbow to keep bandaged still but the rest can be open ! Just use lubriderm on it to keep it moisturized. And take Claritin for the itching. Between no bandages, claritin, and lotion- the itching seemed to be a lot better yesterday. His right elbow is still pretty tender too. He will go back in 2-3 weeks to see how it’s looking. If there is any scarring showing (which she said would be like a raised area on his skin) then he would get fit for compression sleeves in those areas the help the scars. No sun on his arms for a year. Eek. She said think of it like baby skin- no sun the first year, little sun with lots of sunscreen the next year, and after that use your own discretion for how much sunscreen based on his normal skin type. Praising God for His rapid healing. He has shown us His miracle work for sure- physically on James’ skin, and also so deeply in our hearts. We are so thankful for God and how He uses these circumstances to change us. I will post some photos of his arms from yesterday so you can see how well they have healed. Thank you SO MUCH for the prayers and love.
