James' memorial is at Hal and Mal's Saturday November 3 starting at 6. We will play James' favorite music and exchange James stories which is what he wanted.

He also wanted to have his ashes buried in Greenwood Cemetary and that has been approved by the committee that oversees the cemetary.  Apparently it is only  open to relatives and notable Mississippians and James got in as the latter.  He was very pleased about that.  He has a spot close to Eudora Welty's (which is also what he wanted).  No plans for the burial yet.  I was thinking we would wait until the marker is done and the marker is still in the design stage because it's for James and therefore has to be perfect. It also needs to be simple, elegant, and timeless so if anyone has any ideas . . . . 

James would want everyone to enjoy his memorial so that's the plan.
