Today we celebrate our Jake!! 

Crazy that it seems like so many more then 365 days ago and yet seems like yesterday some days. 

His determination and hard work is beyond anything any parent can wish for. 

We are so blessed with such a STRONG YOUNG MAN. 

Your smile and determination to live your best life is what lights up the world and your moms heart :) 

Things will never be as they were when ya took off on your bike for that one last ride of the fall and waved at the video for us to see. But I can still see your smile as you were getting on that bike. And I’m forever grateful I still get to see that smile today! 

And to our amazing family and friends we can never repay you for all you did for us!!  Your endless words of encouragement, answering the random texts at all hours from me and endless hugs made this past year so much easier for us all!  

Also special thanks to Jakes first responders (in uniform and not) ER team, Ortho and trauma team, ICU team,  blood donors, rehab team,  physical, occupational and speech therapy teams and his prosthetic team for all their amazing work and guidance this part year you are all rockstars in our eyes!! And especially my coworkers who let me be where I needed to be this past year :)
