Jake’s Story

❤ WE LOVE YOU JAKEY ❤

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Jake Diehl is an exceptionally talented and creative 17 year old young man with an unbending passion and drive for adventure and friendship. On May 17, 2018, Jake was in an accident and is now in specialized care at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

Jake has sustained head trauma although at this point his doctors believe there is no spinal or lung damage.  Due to the nature of his injury, he is experiencing substantial brain swelling and as a result extensive pressure. Doctors have placed Jake in a medically induced coma and have him on a ventilator to support his breathing.  Jake is resting through these first few difficult days so that he can begin the recovery process in a stable condition. Doctors are carefully monitoring his progress.

Jake is a strong young man who is full of life. If anyone can over come this, it will be him. Karin, Jake and the family are going to need much support in the upcoming months. A gofund me page, 'Rally for Jake' has been set up, please donate if you can.
Your generosity is much appreciated. 🤗

Thank you for visiting.
