Jacoby’s Story

Jacoby Kramp is our son. He is also a brother, a grandson, a friend, a teammate, a nephew & a cousin among other things. He enjoys playing baseball, video games, Legos, Star Wars, Marvel and most other things that 12 year old boys like. We just learned that Jacoby also has brain cancer. We setup this CaringBridge page to update everyone on Jacoby's journey to beat this. Kara and I have an overwhelming amount of people — which by the way is a wonderful thing for our family — that would like to get updates on Jacoby and this is where we will do that.

Jacoby’s awesome baseball team & families, Gameday Blaze, came by to visit us a few days after we received the brain tumor diagnosis. The coaches told a story to all the boys about how most animals run away from a storm rolling over the mountains but the storm eventually catches them and they are in the storm longer. Herds of buffalo, on the other hand, run shoulder to shoulder into the storm. Buffalo instinctively know that if they run through the storm together side by side, they get through the storm more quickly. That is what we all intend to do with Jacoby and will gladly accept all that want to run into the storm with us. Together we will run into the storm.

Good Morning Friends,

One last reminder that there are only 10 days left in June to donate to Jacoby’s Heavenly Toy Box Fundraiser.  Thank you to everyone who has generously donated so far.  Your big hearts have raised over $3000 in Jacoby’s honor for kids / families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

All proceeds from the fundraiser are being coordinated directly with Colorado Children’s Hospital.  Your money will go to providing video games, toys, books and other fun distractions for pediatric cancer patients during their stay on the oncology floor.
