Journal entry by Marie Smith —
Jack had his pre-operative appointment today. Being fully informed of the risks of surgery after your son has so very recently gone through his first rounds of surgery after his dad's death and the many complications ensued is draining to say the very least.
Our family doctor reminded me that just because the plan hasn't been easy so far doesn't mean everything is going to continue to be hard and we can do hard things.
My aunt reminded me that my hope and faith is in the Lord and he is sovereign and is working out his will.
This is what I needed to remember.
The appointment this morning pretty much drained me so more later but I did clarify with them today that when they added the -ish to a 3-5 day hospital stay. The -ish means to plan for 10 days.
Please pray for peace, for no complications this go round, and eventual trach removal (next year).
