Newest Update

Journal entry by Jackie Orr

Hello friends.  Obviously it's been a week since I last updated you.  The past week has been horrendous!  I developed a cyst last Wednesday.  It's called Bartholin Cyst.  If you want to look it up be careful.  I saw a drawing...not bad.  The actual pictures I'm sure will be disgusting!  It was excruciating for most of the week.  I couldn't walk, sit, go to the bathroom.  I'm not exaggerating.  I was lying in bed flat with pain meds and a heating pad which really didn't help that much.  The antibiotics made me nauseated.  Couldn't sleep at night because I kept waking up to vomit (I hate that word).  I slept on and off all day and night.  I was a mess.  Delton was also exhausted as he was trying to help me. During the day I could get naps in while he still had to take care of work, kids, etc.  He has been very patient and loving.  He is doing a great job.  I think the kids were a little concerned.  They have never seen me cry so much. Poor Sofia just cried with me.  Then pray for me.  She was a wonderful nurse helping with what she could.  Tabitha was warming my heating pad (that she made) every hour or so while doing her and Sofia's laundry and dishes.  Again the family pulled through taking care of everything.  Finally yesterday I got to the doctor and she drained it.  Surprise it was almost instant relief!  Had I only known.  Today I'm a hundred times better.  Then of course other problems not related to my health pop up.  Just more relying on God.  We sure are going to have some awesome stories to share about the past few weeks as to how God provided!  Good news.  I went to my follow up for my surgery.  My doctor seems pleased with everything.  She is sending me to the oncologist for the next steps.  There hasn't been pain in this area just a little soreness.  Thank the Lord.  Still grateful for everyone's prayers and encouragement.  Meals that wonderful people bring every day.  I haven't cried all day until now.  They're happy tears.  It's a huge blessing to have so many people caring for us!  To have a God that loves us so much then connects us with each other to be a blessing and to be blessed.  Have a fantastic week. Talk to you soon.
