Hey there all! Sorry it has been a while since an update. Here is the latest from my dad! Thank you to everyone who has brought them meals and for your continued thoughts and prayers and messages!! XXXOOO
Jackie has been home since Friday Feb.7th. Our Home health caregivers have been doing a great job caring for Jackie ( and making my life easier). She is doing in home PT and speech therapy. In addition we are working with her daily to help improve her muscle skills and coordination. Sunday, Jackie and I, along with our caregiver journeyed to Traders Joe's for an outing and Jackie thoroughly enjoyed the trip... She walked a few aisles and then sat in the children's book area with a young toddler while I finished the shopping.
This Wednesday Amy arranged an appointment for a manicure, and she enjoyed the visit, and her new shiny nails. We have had visitors dropping by to say hello as well. Her leg is improving each day, and walking has been getting easier ( still with close guidance however) but the right hand is still not recovering as much. Voice is a bit better these last few days and she has spoken more words which is good news. She continues to be in good spirits, sleeps well and eats well. We have a ways to go but the trend is good so far.
