Jackie’s Story

Site created on September 15, 2021

What started out as headaches and occasional pain, have turned into something I didn't see coming.  After 15 years since my initial breast cancer diagnosis, it has decided to make a recurrence.  Did you know that breast cancer can come back in your bones? I didn't either.  Well, lo and behold, I guess after 15 years it missed me.  So... if I haven't answered you lately, here's the reason why.  I'll be posting updates on this Caring Bridge site periodically.  Say a prayer, or two!  I have a new great grandbaby on the way and I'd sure like to spend time wither him/her.

Love you all,
Jackie

Mom was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer this week that has returned and settled into her spine and ribs.  We are hopeful that treatment will help alleviate her pain and stop the cancer from spreading.  Please keep her lifted in prayer and love.

Journal entry by Jackie Brewster

April 11 treatment was a bear.  I had chemo, then back the next day for a special shot to build white blood cells.  It knocked me flat.  I didn’t even go to church that following Sunday and that’s unusual for me.  I want to thank all of you for your contributions to our Uber Eats account.  Alan is a great caregiver, but a chef he’s not.  It was such a blessing to be able to go online and order lunch.

Had another treatment April 22 with same shot the next day.  It’s knocked me down some, but not as bad as last time.  Keep those prayers coming!
