In the Spring 2022 dad was informed his cancer had advanced and mutated.  The chemo pill he was taking would work on the first but not the mutation.  Dad made the decision to not do anymore chemotherapy.  The doctors told him without it would be just a few months.  Well as dad says he “outlived their prediction by over 9 months!  That “when God calls me home is when I go to heaven and not a day sooner”.  Dad told me in August after I shared a Mercy Me song “Say I wont” with him…. “That’s what I want…To live… not just be Alive!”    So spending time with family was important and he and Charlee made the trip up North and had family come from all over to spend time together.  And Kathy, Doug , Nathan Geno Michelle and Michael have made multiple trips to Texas to have quality family time.  

Dad was becoming weaker and having multiple falls and was hospitalized 3 weeks ago.  The cancer has advanced throughout his body and is now in his bones.  The hard decision that dad needed more care than he could get at home was made.   He was admitted into a skilled facility for that care.  And now hospice.   We encourage you to share anything you want us to share with dad.  We will be going to Texas Friday and will share with him.
