Journal

Well we realized we haven't posted at all since we've been home, sorry! We've been home for over a month now, which has been great! Jack has been eating really well, and sleeps really well, only getting up about twice a night usually. He's definitely got a big personality and is very alert and curious. He loves watching lights, watching ceiling fans and kicking his legs. He's also very snuggly, especially in the mornings. The cats have also done really well with him, they don't bother him at all and have been more friendly since getting home. He's had two pediatrician appointments at Deaconnes and has gained weight appropriately and is doing great.
Jack had his first follow up with Riley nicu neuro today. Remember his MRI came back clean so he has no brain damage but they are following milestones. They told us today that he'll  be in a new program at Riley where they follow NICU babies that had neurological events (he went without oxygen at birth). The coordinator of the program said that they'll follow him until he's 3. She asked us alot of screening questions about his milestones and then the NP checked him out. They both said that he's doing an amazing job! He is where he should be on his milestones and they don't have any concerns at this time! We'll go back to Riley in June for his next follow up.
We are so amazed at his progress and feel so blessed to be his parents. Thanks again to everyone for the love, prayers and support.
