This attached link does a great job at explains what is going on with Jaces heart. His doctors right now are calling it a variant since, thankfully, he does not have all the complications that come with HLHS.
His first surgery won’t be the one talked about in the article since his aorta has developed like it is supposed to. He will be getting a shunt put in to help blood flow from his aorta to his lungs since his pulmonary artery is blocked off.
Then at 3-6 months he will have the Bidirectional Glenn and then from 2-4 years the Fontan procedure. These 3 surgeries are the ones we know for sure he will have to have. They have told us that he could have minor procedures in between to help open up vessels or anything else that may be needed.
