#SuperIsadora update- Good news from her MRI yesterday, about as good as we could reasonably expect! The tumors are all stable in size, and some appear lighter (“shut off”). Her ventricular swelling is also stable, so still no need for a shunt. Our wonderful oncologist almost cried when she saw how big and smart Isadora has gotten in almost 6 months! We were all a bit nervous after the less than ideal delay between scans due to having COVID in August and a very busy radiology department. She will continue to have scans every 3 months, and possibly come off seizure meds soon!
Isadora also was so happy to donate 10 new teddy bears and stuffies gifted by friends at her birthday last month. (Unfortunately the timing of her appointments were not ideal to actually gift them herself or take a good photo, but we trust they will make some little chemo friends a bit happier).
Just as I said last time, I feel bad not updating when things are “normal”, but know that no news means we are just living normal crazy three kids under-7 life! As always, thank you for your love and prayers, we are so grateful Isadora is doing so well, and continue to think of all the brain tumor/cancer families we’ve met on this journey, knowing that like these tumors, the journey is neither heterogeneous nor predictable.
