Happy Thanksgiving from the Wogans!
We've posted this update on Ian on Facebook but wanted to update our Caringbridge family since we've all been together on Ian's journey since day one!
I'm never on social media and I'm terrible about consistent updates about Ian. Therefore it's been difficult for me to ask for things, like doing this fundraiser for Ian. But he is more important than my self doubt and watching him overcome what he's been through inspires me to be a braver woman and a fearless mother. So here we go!
Three days before we left for Thanksgiving holiday, Ian was diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome, a seizure disorder common in brain injured children but can progress into debilitating epilepsy as they age.
We are thankful to have caught this early on and, with early intervention, we are hopeful to prevent progression of this disease.
We have decided to another fundraiser for Ian and wanted to ask you to help us spread the word - posting on social media or however you share with others - since I am terrible at it!
The fundraiser is for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. We've known other kids with seizures disorders to have positive, life changing results with HBOT and want to give Ian this opportunity.
