As I read through all the old journal entries, 3 years ago around this time we were preparing for intense 5 day straight of infusions.  Today we walked through the halls of those rooms for the last time.  I’m so proud of how strong my little man is.  He had to get blood drawn today without any meds.  We might’ve promised a few roblox giftcards but he did it! 

Many have been asking what’s next.  We will continue to go once a month for labs and pentamidine(breathing treatment to prevent pneumonia).  He will be closely monitored the first 6 months, then every other month for the rest of the year.  And then every 3 months the next year.  

Thank you again for all those who have prayed for Hudson.  I never got to singly thank each one for the gifts, the love, the kindness we received.  We are forever grateful!  The first year was a crazy one….then add the pandemic.  So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

It has been a very long 3 years but God had a plan and is still promising something bigger to all.  Romans 8:28 reminds us, “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  I hang on to that verse when I can’t see Him working, I chose to see His goodness.
