Update from Jacki-

 

Sweet Hudson has hit so many milestones! He is officially 5 POUNDS 🥳 annnnnnnnd after 67 days of being on the vent he is officially OFF the ventilator! 

 

Interestingly, you can actually still be on the vent without being intubated. He has needed this support since birth, but his lungs are getting stronger and he can control his breathing on his own now. This is such great news. Brent and I couldn’t be more proud of Hudson and how hard he has been working. As of this morning, he is on a High Flow Nasal Cannula. So far, he is tolerating it well and stating high. 🫁🤘🏼🙌🏼❤️‍🔥✨♥️

 

Other good news, he had another eye exam on Monday and his ROP has not progressed! We are so thankful. ♥️

 

Prayer request-

 

🌱 Please continue to pray for Hudson’s eyes to grow and develop correctly. Pray that his ROP does not progress and eventually resolves on its own. 

🌱 Please continue to pray for Hudson’s progress. We couldn’t be happier with how far he’s come, but he still has several hurdles to overcome until we can take him home. We are so ready to have him home, and it is a hard reality to accept he could be here past his due date (July 9th). This journey is still so hard even with the good news. Pray for continued strength and comfort for Brent and I as we patiently await bring Hudson home.
