Holly’s Story

Site created on October 16, 2021

Holly suffered a stroke the night of October 11, 2021. While she has already beat a stroke in her past, this time it was a little different. A clot from her leg made its way up to the left side of her brain. She has right sided weakness and neglect. She can move her right arm and leg, but it’s not as quick and purposeful as it once was. She also has speech apraxia; she knows what she wants to say but her brain can’t always get it out.

Since she has been in the hospital she has been working with physical, occupational, and speech therapy to get function back to what it once was. They are working with her to help rewire her brain and train her body to do what it use to do!

Holly’s goal is to get crafting again with her Cricut. Follow this page for updates. Thank you for all your support and prayers during this time.

Holly is still at the rehab facility, awaiting placement to an independent living or her own place. She is mostly independent in all of her daily tasks. She was happy to have some of her grandkids visit her today. They built a puzzle together.

If you want to send Holly a Christmas card, please contact Lesly on Facebook or via text.
