Good news! Last night, I swallowed the final dose of my 12 month chemotherapy regimen! Wooo hooo!! WHAT.A.RELIEF. 

Brain surgery ✅

30 radiation treatments ✅

180 chemotherapy pills ✅

I’m done with all of those for the time being! 😮‍💨 I’m now entering back into the “watch and wait” phase. That will include MRIs every 3 months for at least the rest of this year and then hopefully will spread out to 4 months… 6 months… and maybe… eventually… yearly! I didn’t quite make it to the yearly MRI’s before  this little intruder had regrowth last time, so that’s what I’m aiming for this time around! 🤞🏻

It’s impossible to express all of the gratitude that I feel for all of you who have stood besides be through it all. From sending cards, gifts, texts, gifs, or emails to bringing me cheese fries (when that’s the only thing I could imagine eating during chemo weeks), to coming to visit, sending donations to me or the ABTA, to running in races in the pouring rain, to praying for me or sending healing energy my way, all that and everything in between - ALL OF IT. All of it matters and all of it has been so healing for me and my heart and my body. Just… thank you. 

This isn’t the last you’ll hear from me. Hopefully more good news coming soon! (My next MRI is scheduled for July 5th!) I’ll likely update a little more on social media and a little less on Caringbridge. (Not exclusively, so don’t leave this site unless you’re done following!)
