I finally received some good news!

Last Friday, I met with my oncologist and she was very happy with the results of my PET scan, which ruled out the nodules as cancer. She was still concerned that it could be a separate lung issue, so she recommended I meet with a pulmonologist.

I went over my CT scan with a pulmonologist on Monday and he did not think the nodules were anything to worry about at this point in time. They are most likely just irritants left over from a cold or other respiratory infection. Of course they will still need to be monitored, but he thinks it is very likely that they will be gone by the next scan in six weeks. Assuming everything goes well at that appointment, I will resume my 4 month CT scan schedule.
