Lord, make me to know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. (Psalm 39:4)

3 radiation treatments down, so far no side affects. Just like going outside to get the newspaper. 3 weeks from now maybe different but no noticeable so far. I try to be well hydrated and protein rich in what I eat. Both are supposed to help in the almost kill me process.

I will give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)

My research comes up with sketchy results. The unit of measurement for body tissue radiation is Grays. I am getting targeted radiation at 1.8 Grays a shot. But, they can’t call it that. The radiation doses are in 100ths of Grays, so my doses are 180 100ths of a Gray. Times 30 and my total dose is 54 Grays.
IF I had a total body radiation of 5 Grays, I would die in 14 days.
But no mention is made of maximum targeted radiation.
Jefferson thought I could get a total dose as high as 60 Grays.
So, 54 seems not so close to the edge.

Lord, You have said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30)

So, like the Princess Bride, they only want to make me mostly dead, to kill any cancer, just not completely dead. 🤣

As one who has been chosen of God, holy and beloved, I will put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with others and forgiving others even as the Lord forgave me; and above all these things, I will put on love, which is the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12–14)

You will waste my cancer if you treat sin as casually as before.
Are your besetting sins as attractive as they were before you had cancer? If so, you are wasting your cancer. Cancer is designed to destroy the appetite for sin. Pride, greed, lust, hatred, unforgiveness, impatience, laziness, procrastination — all these are the adversaries that cancer is meant to attack. Don’t just think of battling against cancer. Also think of battling with cancer. All these things are worse enemies than cancer. Don’t waste the power of cancer to crush these foes. Let the presence of eternity make the sins of time look as futile as they really are. “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?” (Luke 9:25).
