Surgery and Post-Op Highlights:
  • Surgery went great! 🙌 Cyst is removed and feeding tube is placed. We’re all home and healing!
  • While he was in there, our surgeon looked at his bowel perforation site from when he was a week old and said he couldn’t even find it! Healed up perfectly for a procedure that only had a 50% success rate! God is good!
  • Post-Op we stress ordered $80 worth of tacos... Is that HSA eligible? (shout out to the brisket taco from Sonora Grill 👌)
  • Katie and I collectively got like 12 minutes of sleep 🤦‍♂️ Henry would only sleep on us with his IV’s, etc. making him uncomfortable. The safe sleep police were on patrol making sure we didn’t fall asleep while holding... 👮‍♂️
  • Henry’s back to crawling, standing, sitting, playing and being his smiley sweet self! Weened off the hard stuff last night, Tylenol and Ibu to manage discomfort for a couple days
  • Henry took most of his bottles orally today with one through the tube. A bit of a learning curve but similar to his temporary feeding tubes we’ve had in the past. It will be nice to have to keep feedings positive and Henry growing, the hope / plan is to not need it as we transition more to solids, etc. at which point they just pull it out, no follow up procedure needed
  • God is good and you’re all great - thanks for the prayers and kinds words ❤️
